1. Introduction
AskUI is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our website, software, and related services.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, including name, email address, account details, billing information, support communications, usage data, and analytics information.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to provide, maintain, and improve services, process transactions, send technical notices, respond to requests, analyze usage, and detect or prevent technical issues.
4. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers, to comply with legal obligations, to protect rights, in connection with corporate transactions, or with your consent. We use Zapier, a workflow automation provider, to record product download events (such as platform and campaign source) for internal reporting. We use PostHog (PostHog Inc., data hosted in the EU) for website analytics, as described in section 7. Our website www.askui.com is hosted on Google Cloud (Google), and our documentation docs.askui.com on GitHub Pages (GitHub Inc., USA). To deliver the pages, these hosting providers process your IP address and the technical data your browser sends with every request. Analytics events reach PostHog through a proxy at ingest.askui.com that PostHog operates on the network of Cloudflare Inc.

We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, object to processing, or request portability of personal information.
7. Cookies and Analytics
We use PostHog, a product analytics service of PostHog Inc. with data hosted in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany), to count visits and clicks on our website www.askui.com and our documentation docs.askui.com. Each of the two sites asks for your cookie choice separately. PostHog runs only after you choose "Accept all": before you make a choice, and if you choose "Necessary only", neither site sends anything to PostHog or stores anything for it on your device. With your consent, we record the pages you open, the page you came from, campaign parameters (such as utm_source) and the buttons and links you click. PostHog stores a random visitor ID in a cookie and in local storage, so that we can recognize a returning visit. PostHog does not store your IP address, does not record your screen or the contents of form fields, and does not create a profile of you. With "Accept all" we also load Google Analytics and the Google Ads tag (Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC), and on www.askui.com also the LinkedIn Insight Tag (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company and LinkedIn Corporation). We use them to measure visits and campaigns, to attribute sign-ups and enquiries to our ads, and for remarketing: Google and LinkedIn may add your browser to audiences so that we can show AskUI ads to visitors of our website on other sites. Google and LinkedIn may process this data in the USA. Both providers are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, on which an adequacy decision of the European Commission is based (Art. 45 GDPR). The legal basis for PostHog and these tools is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG). The cookies and their storage periods are listed below. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time: open "Cookie settings" (in the footer of www.askui.com, in the sidebar of docs.askui.com) and choose "Necessary only". This switches the tools off and deletes the cookies and storage entries they set on askui.com. Cookies that Google and LinkedIn set on their own domains (such as doubleclick.net and linkedin.com) cannot be deleted by our website; you can delete them in your browser settings. You can also configure your browser to refuse cookies. Our documentation loads its fonts from its own server, not from Google Fonts.
